A: A filly is a young female horse (under 4 years old). A colt is a young male horse. Like how we say girl and boy.
A: Around 4 years old, a filly becomes a mare (adult female horse). They grow up faster than humans!
A: Yes! Even young fillies can run 25-30 mph. That's faster than any human - even Olympic sprinters only hit 28 mph.
